GARDEN PLANNING
The Edible Lab will help you understand what kind of garden is suited for your school or family needs and what plants are suitable for growing based on: hours of sun, maintenance requirements, foods children enjoy eating and size of garden. Planning includes a diagram with list of vegetables to be grown from seed or transplant and use of companion plants and crop rotation to deter natural pests and ensure best harvests with organic planting principles. $75-$150 per plan depending on size of garden |
GARDEN CONSULTATIONS
Garden consultations consist of walking you through the necessary steps of preparing your garden beds and planting seedlings and seeds. Early spring plantings include cold hardy crops such as peas, radish, certain herbs, onions, spinach, kale, arugula, root vegetables and asian greens. This can be followed by summer plantings of summer hardy lettuces and greens, tomatoes, beans, cucumbers and zucchini . We also offer a late season fall/winter planting consultation for cold hardy vegetables such as radishes, asian greens, kales, collard greens, chards etc. $100 per hour, 1.5 hr minimum visit |
GARDEN COACHING - Online
Do you really want to succeed in your family vegetable garden? For gardeners of all ages and experience levels, The Edible Lab offers personalized weekly and bi-weekly coaching. We advise on seed starting, garden bed building, planting and maintaining, to mid and late season check-ins to soil amendments. During each meeting we will teach you how to plant and take care of your garden, including weeding, removal of dead or diseased plants, watering and natural methods of fertilizing. $100 per hour |
